Ginger joined NCF in 2017 and is based in Portland, Oregon. During her career, she has been actively involved with taking care of some of the most critically ill patients since first graduating with her RRT certification. Her experience has included complex pulmonary management of trauma patients at a Level One center, as well as serving a critical role in the lung/heart transplant and artificial heart/ECMO teams. Additional clinical work has included serving as an auto-transfusionist and also performing sleep apnea evaluations and education. Ginger previously worked as a hospital clinical liaison a for long-term health care facility. Ginger holds BS from the Pima Medical Institute. She has most recently worked as a Respiratory Case manager for a large multi-state hospital system, developing protocols and treatment plans for countless patients with pulmonary disease. As such she is well versed in working alongside physicians and hospital staff from many disciplines. Ginger has cared for mesothelioma patients at multiple different stages of progression and understands the challenges they face and the obstacles that need to be overcome.
It’s fairly common that patients will ask to repeatedly work with Ginger because of her thoughtful approach and special insight. She brings a sympathetic and kind method to working with mesothelioma victims while focusing on maximizing available therapeutic opportunities.
