About Us

The National Cancer Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit organization focused on increasing the number of clinical trials available to those suffering from mesothelioma by not only raising awareness but also by highlighting a lack of trials available to those stricken with this debilitating disease. Although our ultimate goal is to find a cure for mesothelioma, we realize that many patients do not have the time to wait for new drugs and/or immunotherapies, and we want to play a role in increasing the survival times of those stricken with this illness.

Since mesothelioma is such a rare disease, and government funding and grants have been severely reduced, scientists are unable to adequately fund their work and, therefore, alternative diseases with higher numbers tend to get the bulk of research funds. It is paramount to the National Cancer Foundation that we change this narrative so that more research funds can be targeted to help victims of mesothelioma and the scientists who are diligently working to develop new treatments and screening tools for these patients. We strive to support patients and their families by giving them the most current information on treatment options and facilities while also providing emotional support by bringing others, who have been afflicted by mesothelioma, together.
